Encouraging Confidence, Resilience, and Motivation With a Taurus Full Moon Ritual

The second sign of the zodiac, Taurus is known for tenacity, loyalty, and sensuality. This earth sign embraces routine and pleasure, making the full moon in Taurus an ideal time to lean into ritual and invite release into your reality.

Full Moon in Taurus Meaning

The Taurus full moon occurs when the sun is in Scorpio—the opposite sign in the zodiac wheel. While Scorpio deals in desire, Taurus gives us the will to go after what we want. Symbolized by the bull, Taureans charge toward their goals and rarely take “no” for an answer when it comes to realizing their dreams.

Those with Taurus placements in their natal birth chart will be particularly affected by this full moon. In fact, the more Taurus placements you have in your natal birth chart, the more you will feel this lunation.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, which also rules everyone’s second house of personal values, personal finances, and material possessions, but your personal Venus sign will help determine how you both prepare these areas for success and manage them through challenges.

To see where Venus lies in your natal birth chart and to harness the drive of this fixed sign, you can book an astrological reading with Blossom & Stone’s founder.

What does the moon in Taurus bring?

Taurus rules finances and security, with an emphasis on the home and body. When the moon is in Taurus, we feel drawn to our most familiar places and often driven to focus on money. The full moon, being the most powerful lunation, heightens these impulses.

What do you do on a Taurus full moon?

The full moon in Taurus is an excellent time for any home renovations or DIY projects. Replace that bathroom vanity, paint that accent wall, or order that couch you’ve been eyeing. Taurean culture is food culture, so you may also feel drawn to the kitchen. Get creative and finally try that recipe you’ve had saved for months, or maybe upgrade appliances or dishes.

Be wary, however, of going a little wild with your spending. The Taurus full moon is also the time to get your finances in order—be sure to neaten up any money-related messiness before we descend into the holiday season.

Our Taurus Full Moon Rituals & Tools

Taurus Full Moon Crystals

Being a creature of habit, Taurus can get stuck in their ways and hang on to relationships, property, and jobs far past the point of no longer being served by them. Luckily full moons bring change, and aventurine can help channel this energy to aid in the breaking of bad habits and unhealthy ties.

Aventurine encourages confidence, resilience, and motivation for change, which is why Blossom & Stone uses this crystal for Taurus in the Zodiac Gift Set. Moon-charged aventurine is encapsulated in each of the tools—the Taurus candle, Taurus Essential Oil Aura Spray, and Taurus Essential Oil Roller—to help harness this full moon’s empowering energy. With sensual Taurus’ focus on the home, the body, and the pleasure found in both, these gifts align perfectly with this full moon’s theme.

Taurus rules the heart chakra, making heart-opening rose quartz a classic choice when looking to tap into this fixed sign’s powers. Blossom & Stone’s Signature Rose Quartz Face Oil includes moon-charged rose quartz—a crystal revered for centuries for its anti-inflammatory properties thanks to its vibrational frequency—along with the Taurus self-care scent of sweet lavender.

Taurus Full Moon Meditation

Since Taurus is the youngest earth sign always seeking security, the power of grounding meditations can be amplified during a Taurus full moon. Consciously or unconsciously, many turn to grounding practices during full moons as the lunation often brings culminations and endings that can leave us feeling out of our element and anxious about the future. In these times, calling ourselves back to the present moment helps alleviate this anxiety and keeps us aligned with our best path forward.

Grounding meditations work best outside, but they can be done inside if that is what’s available to you.

  1. Sit on the ground if you are able, keeping in mind that the main objective is to make direct contact with the earth the most comfortable way you can.

  2. Close your eyes, take deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth, and envision roots growing down underneath you that strongly anchor you to the earth. Imagine heat from its core rising up to fill your belly and heart, allowing that to feel full of warmth and light.

  3. Still breathing as deeply and steadily as you can, sit up tall with your back straight and chest proud while keeping your neck, shoulders, and hips relaxed.

  4. Gently place your left hand on your belly and your right hand on your chest, and choose a number to count down from while taking a breath in and out with each number.

When you are finished counting down, open your eyes and notice the difference in how you feel.

Come back to this meditation whenever it suits you, and especially during the next full moon in Taurus.
